Grantown-on-Spey Golf Club has a course that is superbly maintained allowing you to enjoy your golf in exceptional surroundings with panoramic views of the Cairngorms and the Cromdales. The club was formed in 1890 and was progressively developed in the early 1900's by A.C.Brown, Willie Park and James Braid. The course is 5710 yds par 70 (SSS68) and is a mixture of parkland and woodland with magnificent views especially from Murdie's View, the scenic short downhill 9th. There is a practice ground and also a putting green. The club house is less than half a mile from Kinross House and provides comfortable surroundings and good food. Visitors are welcome and tee off times for individuals or societies can be arranged and booked.

Situated in the Cairngorms National Park, this is an easy walking course and though not long, it presents a fair challenge for every calibre of golfer. It is naturally split into three distinct sections.

Holes 1 to 6 are played over flat parkland, holes 7 to 12 through moderately hilly woodland, whilst holes 13 to 18 reverts to undulating parkland.

The “signature” hole of the course is Murdie’s` View, the 275 yard 9th, a short downhill par 4 with the spectacular backdrop of pine trees and the Cromdale Hills, when the heather is in bloom on the Cromdales the view is incomparable. Elsewhere on the course, the magnificent views of the Cairngorm range may be observed, wildlife abounds, and whilst rabbits are kept at bay, roe, deer and hare may be seen, along with a variety of birds such as peewit, oyster catcher and buzzard.
