Hiking and Walking
Gentle strolls through the Pine forest are available from the doorstep of Kinross House
as well as numerous woodland and moor land walks though the Glenlivet, Rothiemurchus and
Revack Estates. For the more ambitious walkers there is the 70 mile long Speyside Way which stretches from Aviemore through
Grantown-on-Spey to the Moray Coast.

Hill walkers and mountaineers will be familiar with the
Cairngorms and the superb year round opportunities that exist in this unique area. Whether
you're tackling the 17 Munroes in the Cairngorms (including four of the five highest in
the UK) or simply walking in the highest mountain range in Britain, use Kinross House as a
base. Combine the days walk with mountain biking using our bikes free
of
charge, or in winter cross country skis, and use the estate tracks to get you near those
elusive peaks far quicker to maximise the days enjoyment. A large number of walking and
mountaineering books, maps and routes are available for residents to browse at Kinross
House. Maps and compasses can be also be borrowed from us free of
charge.
Hill walking and Mountaineering courses
can be booked through
Ardenbeg Outdoor Centre in Grantown on Spey.
Ardenbeg Outdoor Centre is also the only bunkhouse in Grantown-on-Spey
Kinross House is a member of

A fantastic picture of the summit of Cairn Gorm on a fantastic day. One of our guests
Andrew Northcote took this beauty.
"We had a remarkable day when we visited Cairn Gorm. The day was following a night where the temp had been down to -17C! The summit
had a wind chill at the time of the photo's, nearer to -28C. Fortunately
your lovely guest house was welcoming and warm on our return"
